Are You A Commodity? (Sell what everyone else is selling: Only Better)

Clip to Evernote

So how do you compete in an industry where consumers believe that everyone offers the same service and the only difference is price?

What if you can’t claim that you are the lowest price? Should you just quit?

This video talks about “The Out Strategy” designed to help you outsell your competition when you’re selling the same basic thing.

I’ve created an entire video on this strategy as well.

Watch the video and let me know your thoughts:

So, the Out Strategy means, if you find yourself with a commodity, you have to work hard to Add value that is different from your competition. I agree. You have to find enough value so that your clients will pay you for your intelligence brought to bear on their business.

I like the idea of focusing on "staying in front" of your potential customers and providing them value. To me, it sounds a lot like relationship building. (Since I'm a soft sell kinda gal, the "hustle" term sounds hard core"…but I know I'm just being semantic here. ;) I agree with the point entirely. I think that's why social media is so important because you have the capability to stay in front of your prospects daily…without being annoying…because they "liked" you or "followed" you…essentially giving you permission to give "stay in front" of their eyes. The trick is to give them value…so they don't "unfriend" or "unfollow" you, right? I feel a followup video coming on…like something to do with dos and don'ts in social media when trying to "out hustle". Or maybe you already did a video like that and I just need to find it in the archives?
